....Dogs, who like the people around here, have a job to do and when something needs doing the Collies are there always ready to help.  They've picked us up out of frozen puddles in mid winter, found us when we were lost in the woods,  and kept a wayward herd of playful horses from galloping across the yard where our toddler was playing.

After their stint on television with Animal Planet network for the rescue of our child in the horse accident, the dogs settled down to being our canine companions again.
